“永久居留”講一個沉迷死亡的男生, 愛上一位健帥的直男.
故事是講一生的, 於是有人猜想是導演的自傳; 我有那麼偉大嗎?
但我的電影的結尾句是: “本片故事并非虛構, 如有雷同未必巧合”
我只想講一些不尋常的故事, 不可能的愛情, 不思議的人生, 不過, 都要是我相信的. 為甚麼要虛構呢? 人生中的很多故事, 都沒電影拍過!
“永久居留”裡的愛情是男生之間的, 但看完試片受感動的, 通常是女生.
電影在以色列, 日本, 澳大利亞, 泰國, 中國大陸取景, 感謝拍了上百部片的邱禮濤導演為我掌攝影機, 而我的電影裡最好看的永遠是演員. 李家濠說為了投入要真的愛上洪智傑, 我相信他們的演出會令很多觀眾愛上, 無論男女異同.
獻給相信愛可以跨過生命的人.

"Permanent Residence" is the life story of a man who indulges in thoughts of after life and passionately falls in love with a straight guy.
People naturally speculate it is my biography. Not really but, I only shoot stories that I have faith in, and yet they are unusual, about improbable love and impossible life. Why bother to invent when there are ample of them yet to be made into a film?
The passion in this film is between men, but I've found the story more readily touches the hearts of women.
The film was shot in Israel, Japan, Australia, Thailand and mainland China, thanks to the beautiful camera work of Herman, a director who has shot over 100 films. However, the beauty of my films always rest with the actors. Sean said he would really fall in love with Osman and win his heart if necessary, and I reckon their performance should win the hearts of many audiences, men or women, gay or straight.
"Permanent Residence" is for those of you who believe love can survive life.
